My Wife Was Diagnosed With

My wife was diagnosed with FMS but she always had a spark of hope that she would be well again, even though she had suffered for a long time with this chronic condition. One day, that spark of hope became a reality for her. She still has fibromyalgia and once in a while she gets fibro flare ups, but at least she doesn't have the constant day-to-day pain like she used to have.

This is her testimonial:

"Many years ago, I developed fibromyalgia while working as a secretary. The muscle pain and stiffness, insomnia and chronic fatigue of fibromyalgia took their toll until finally I had to quit working. I spent several years searching for help. I consulted medical professionals from many fields: orthopedists, neurologists, chiropractors, doctors of internal medicine, rheumatologists and physical therapists, just to name a few."

"I was put on many different medications such as anti-depressants and anti-inflammatory drugs, but nothing helped me. It was very frustrating! Sometimes I would get a little better, but the pain and chronic sleep problems were always there. Any kind of physical exercise only made the symptoms worse, as did any type of emotional stress. I also had allergies and a weakened immune system. I was not well most of the time."

"A friend told me about antioxidants (Proanthenols) that was helping people with fibromyalgia. I decided to order some. Amazingly, just a few days after I began taking Proanthenols (OPC-85), the pain completely left! It was truly a miracle!

"I now have a new life and it is wonderful to be free of the pain and suffering I had endured. I tell everyone about what Proanthenols OPC-85 did for me. I plan to take them as long as I live to keep my fibromyalgia in remission. I have loads of energy now and a pain-free body most of the time. It's great to once again enjoy the many activities I had not been able to do for so long. Proanthenols OPC-85 is the best blessing I could have asked for."

"Recently a friend of mine with fibromyalgia had been taking antioxidants from another company. She told me it had not been helping her at all. She was in such bad shape that I gave her the rest of my Life Plus Proanthenols, and in trade she gave me the rest of her antioxidants. I decided to try an experiment on myself by using the other brand. By the second or third day, my fibromyalgia began returning! By day 10 the pain was coming back full force! I had forgotten how bad it was! Although I had an order of Proanthenols on the way, I couldn't wait another day, so I ended my experiment and took one of my husband's 100 mg Life Plus Proanthenol tablets. Within an hour the pain was gone! The following morning I took another 100 mg tablet and continued to be pain free until my order arrived. I learned my lesson, and I will never be without my Life Plus Proanthenols again!"

"I have also found Lyprinex to be a wonderful help for inflammation of the muscles and joints. Six months after becoming pain-free from my fibromyalgia, some shoulder discomfort that I used to have came back for a couple of weeks. It would only bother me in the mornings when I first woke up. I decided to try some Lyprinex capsules, and they helped dramatically!"

"I am truly thankful for these wonderful products. Life is too short to go around feeling bad if you don't have to!"

Excellent website: 2003 Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. Gives detailed information about OPC's.

Created in 1933, Berkem Laboratories, Gardonne, France, performs research and development of OPC of Grape Pips, OPC of pine trees of the Landes, etc.

Do fibromyalgia sufferers have acidosis?

Although it is not known what produces fibromyalgia, some researchers believe that one of the causes of fibromyalgia is due to changes in muscle metabolism, such as decreased blood flow, causing fatigue and decreased strength. When my wife took the Proanthenols, it is my opinion—that since the OPC's maintain the structural integrity as well as the elasticity of all the tissues throughout the body, which includes the blood vessels—that the OPC's in Proanthenols could have been one of the main factors that helped her. This could also be another reason why the OPC's helped Diana. (*)

Note: There are numerous websites on the Internet that deal with blood abnormalities from patients who have chronic disorders, including fibromyalgia. I've only listed a few below:
Fibromyalgia - Overview, Symptoms, Causes & Diagnosis - neurologychannel: Read section on "Causes."

ME CFS research: Explains about altered red cell shape populations in fibromyalgia and other chronic conditions.

Biochemical Abnormalties in FMS: Explains about biochemical abnormalities in cerebrospinal fluid and blood samples obtained from patients with fibromyalgia.

GSDL Fibromyalgia and Element Imbalances: Explains about deficiencies of magnesium that have been identified in the red blood cells of patients with fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia - Poor brain blood flow : Hyperbaric Medicine : Melbourne - Australia: Explains about lower blood flow to segments of the brain specifically concerned with pain transmission on fibromyalgia patients.

Mycoplasmal Infections in Chronic Illnesses: Explains about patients with FMS or CFS often have multiple mycoplasmal blood infections and probably other chronic infectionss.

Multiple Mycoplasmal Infections Detected in Blood of CFS: This study explains that more than 60% of patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Fibromyalgia Syndrome had mycoplasmal blood infections.

Uricosuric Agents in Fibromyalgia: Explains about a decrease in red blood cell ATP in fibromyalgia patients.

There is an amazing verse in Leviticus 17:11 that says, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood..."

What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Fibromyalgia : The Revolutionary Treatment That Can Reverse The Disease
...by Dr. R. Paul St. Amand, Claudia Craig Marek

Average Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Comments from a reviewer who read this book: "I was mad and cried like a baby when I read this book. How could anyone "promise" reversal of FM? I had to find out, so I read the book four times in the first two weeks, and I continue to re-read a portion of it everyday. I was able to share the protocol with my doctor who then started me on the Guaifenesin... Friends and family cannot believe the change in me. I have people calling me just about everyday asking "what are you doing?" And, how can they do it too? I can honestly say that I'm getting my life back, No it's actually better..." ...by Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum

Average Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Comments from a reviewer who read this book: "Life Saver! I'm Not Crazy! I have a name for my symptoms! This book was great I found it on vacation on FL and could not put it down! Interestingly, on vacation, my symptoms were minimal! I found a GREAT doctor, and this book reinforced what she had told me. I was not crazy! There was something wrong with me, even though I look well to those around me. Following the book's advice and "The Yeast Connection" by Wm Crook, I am feeling better! I still have bad days, but it is usually when I eat something with sugar, milk, yeast, or caffine. A MUST HAVE FOR ANYONE WITH FIBROMYALGIA!" d_Provenzano@email.msn.com from Louisiana, USA

Comments from a reviewer who read this book: "I read this book a few yrs. after being diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I cannot begin to describe the sense of relief and companionship this book brought to me. When friends, loved ones, & acquaintances are "diagnosed", This is the first "therapy" I recommend and/or purchase for them as a gift. It gives the reader a sense that she/he is not alone... I have lived with fibromyalgia, and several other autoimmune disorders for 7+ yrs now. I still consider this book the best first step in treatment! Well worth the investment and time..." Gina D. Desperately Seeking Snoozin' : The Insomnia Cure from Awake to Zzzzz
...by John Wiedman

Average Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Comments from a reviewer who read this book: "...It's about time someone who has actually suffered from long term, cronic insomnia, and has overcome it, has written a book about the subject. Other books are written by people with no first hand experiential knowledge of the subject. They seem to be oblivious as to the devastation insomnia can inflict upon someones life and have a one size fits all approach in dealing with the problem, rather then an individualized plan of treatment, which is available in the book. This is a refreshing approach to a serious condition..." mypaldal@aol.com from Lacey, Washington

Comments from a reviewer who read this book: "When my doctor told me he thought I had fibromyalgia, I thought 'Oh, great! A garbage can diagnosis--he’s telling me something just to keep me happy.'... So, it’s a relief to find a book that helps me make sense of this. I still feel rotten but I feel more comfortable with the diagnosis, and I now have answers that may help me reclaim a more normal life. That’s more than I thought possible before reading this book. This book is recommended by the Fibromyalgia Network as a good starting point and reference for those who have fibromyalgia, and for their ! families who need to know what to make of it. I agree." Comments from a reviewer who read this book: "After 11 years of battling this illness, 5 surgeries, consultations with doctors from top medical centers in the US, I was fortunate enough to find Dr. Goldstein. Although the book is difficult reading (and reading is not easy for us with this disorder due to cognitive problems), his results are spectacular and he has probably defined a new class of disease: neurosomatic disorders, for which some experts feel he deserves a Nobel Prize.
